Lumiere International invites 100 orphans to Iftar Ramadan and spreads the spirit of happiness.
Singapore, March 26th, 2025. The holy month of Ramadan is an ideal opportunity to practise goodness. Good actions can be performed every day. However, performing these during Ramadan while fasting as a show of empathy for those in need seems very different. This is what Lumiere International chose to accomplish. A total of 100 children from Yayasan Qurrotul Ayum and Yayasan Darul Muhis from Indonesia Batam’s are invited to celebrate iftar Ramadan today, Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 at GGI Hotel Batam
Lumiere International Pageantry, a Singapore-based enterprise led by Madam Justina Quek, is an exciting organisation that helps women of all ages increase their self-esteem and inspire positive change in their communities and around the world. The goal is to build a global network that empowers women and raises mental health awareness. Women from all areas of life can use our organisation to share their activism and achieve a collective impact. The Lumiere International queens that engage in this program function as spokespersons for charitable and social welfare causes. They include: 1. Justina Quek,2. Prior to breaking fast, all children participate in "Ngabuburit" in local bahasa, a program designed to pass the time till breakfast. A few highlights include a city tour to the spanking new Batam Grand Mosque, where Ashar and doa are performed for donors, and a visit to the Batam Monument.
The fast-breaking celebration took place at the GGI hotel, beginning with a religious address and doa, followed by food and magrib prayer.
The event was followed by the giving of "Duit Raya" or Raya money to the children, as well as the provision of money and groceries to the orphanage centre.
Interestingly, all donations were gathered from Lumiere International's queens. As a result, all of the queens became involved in the sharing process over this blessed month.
Meanwhile, Madam Justina, the founder of Lumiere International, stated, "I am very pleased to see that the queens contribute and play an important role for 100 orphanage children in Batam; this is the largest charitable activity Lumiere International has undertaken, and I hope that this activity will continue in the future." Thank you to all the queens who contributed to this event.
